Living summer days
Summer Adventures at Mark and the Museum Farm Karensminde.
Open 10 am – 4 pm, July and August
This summer holiday, you and the family are warmly invited to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and let curiosity run wild at Mark and the Museum Farm Karensminde. This is the attraction for the whole family! There’ll be fun and activities for all ages – from the young to the young-at-heart to the nostalgics!
Give a bunny a gentle cuddle, follow the clues on a treasure hunt, bring along your own picnic and enjoy the peaceful charm of our historic surroundings. Dress up as a child from yesteryear, play like they did in the good old days, and step straight into the stories of the past.
Experience history through your eyes and ears
Explore our cultural heritage exhibitions made for the curious:
- Voices of the Woods – an audio walk through rustling leaves and whispered memories. Download the Useeum app on your smartphone.
- The Planned Life – audio walk through the area surrounding the Museumfarm Karensminde, where routine meets reflection. Get your audio guide here.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1st July - 21st July
Members of the Karensminde Friends Society will bring history to life, demonstrating traditional crafts, handiwork, and old-fashioned cooking – no time machines needed. On these special days, the cosy Coffee Lounge will be open, serving refreshments, and you can even hop aboard a horse-drawn carriage for a nostalgic ride through the past.
Come for the history. Stay for the handmade joy. And don’t forget – mud washes off, but memories last.
