Ticket sales and museum shop
In the exhibition building you will also find ticket sales and our museum shop, where you can buy homemade jam, juice and fine wooden handicrafts made in the carpentry workshop by members of the association Karensminde's Friends. We also have old-fashioned toys – tractors and cars never go out of fashion. Shop for your holiday reading – we have several different books for those who want to know more about cultural history and other exciting topics.
Visit the historical Animals
Horses, pigs, cows, and sheep - and goats, chickens, geese, ducks, and rabbits. All the animals at the Museum Farm Karensminde belong to old historical livestock breeds, which the museum helps preserve through a comprehensive breeding program.
Caution
- Please remain calm and cautious around the animals.
- Entering the cow shed/pig sty is at your own risk.
- Maintain a distance of at least one metre from the cattle.
- Children must not enter the cow shed/pigsty without supervision.
- Please, do not cross any closed fence.
Wheelchair accessibility etc.
There is wheelchair accessibility in the exhibition and outdoor areas at the Museum Farm Karensminde.
There is limited access to the farmhouse on the farm.

Food and drink
The coffee room is open on special activity days, serving hot dishes or coffee, cake and cheese sandwiches.
Food can be enjoyed outdoors in the scenic surroundings.
There are tables and benches set up in several places for free use. See signage.
Babies
You can bring a pram to the museum.
There is a baby changing station in the disabled toilet in the exhibition building and by the forge.
You are welcome to find a quiet place to breastfeed your baby. Ask the staff if necessary.
Dogs
You are welcome to bring your dog to the museum’s outdoor areas as long as it is on a leash. Dogs are not allowed in the museum buildings.
Remember to pick up after your dog.
Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed anywhere in the museum.
Larger groups
If you are a group of more than 15 guests, please let us know in advance so that we can serve you in the best possible way.
