Book a city walk
Get the story of how a pilgrimage to a sacred spring transformed into a quest for the best deal on tennis socks. How could a small provincial town have a fancy store like Magasin du Nord? Why is Billund called Billund? All this and much more can be learned when you book a city walk in one of the municipality's exciting cities. Our guide will take you on a pleasant stroll, sharing what has shaped the city, which the students may one day contribute to changing. It's good for the body and mind.
Duration per city walk: 1 lesson
Price: 650 DKK (+ surcharge outside normal opening hours)
Guided tour at the Museum Farm Karensminde
Agriculture is largely the foundation of the welfare society we have today. The industrialization in the area originated from the cooperative movement, rooted in agriculture. Museum Farm Karensminde takes you back in time - (long) before mobile phones... even before landline phones... actually before indoor toilets and refrigerators! Here, the everyday life in the countryside in the "good old days" is conveyed, which offered idyllic moments, celebrations, and bright summer days, but also the fear of a poor harvest, illness, inequality, ice-cold mornings in wooden shoes, and bare feet. Prepare to step into history.
Duration per guided tour: 1 lesson
Price: 650 DKK (+ surcharge outside normal opening hours)
