The Farm Shop
Go shopping in the small Farm Shop at the Museum Farm Karensminde.
The Farm Shop brings together the wonderful products made at the farm by our dedicated volunteers – both edible and non-edible. From jam and juice to beautifully crafted woodwork and handicrafts, the shop showcases the time, skills and dedication contributed by the members of Karensminde’s Friends Association.
The shop is the result of close collaboration between the museum’s professional staff and the volunteers of Karensminde’s Friends Association. The volunteers built the shop fittings, while museum staff developed the interpretation, highlighting the changing seasonal tasks and routines on a Danish farm between 1930 and 1955.
Each month, the shop also features an Object of the Month – an item from the museum’s collection that offers a glimpse into the wide-ranging stories we preserve and explore, spanning the history of agriculture, industry and tourism.
The Farm Shop is located by the farm’s eastern carriage entrance and has been designed with respect for the historic character and atmosphere of Karensminde.
Initially, the Farm Shop will follow the museum’s opening hours. In the future, a new access system will make it possible to visit and shop outside regular opening hours, using your mobile phone.
